About Sam

I didn't become a director because I wanted to stand behind a camera. I became a director because I wanted to shape the entire story.

After studying acting, I realised my passion wasn't just in the performance, but in bringing every creative element together to create something that resonates with an audience. Directing became the natural path: the opportunity to guide talented people towards a shared vision and tell stories that stay with people long after they've finished watching.

More than 15 years later, that still remains unchanged. Whether I'm working on a commercial, branded content or developing narrative work, I'm always searching for the human connection at the heart of the story. For me, great filmmaking isn't just about creating beautiful images; it's about making people feel something and leaving a lasting impression.

Alongside directing, producing has become an equally rewarding part of my career. Building productions from the ground up for fellow filmmakers has given me the opportunity to balance creative ambition with the practical problem-solving needed to bring exceptional work to life. I love the creativity of directing, but I get just as much satisfaction from creating the foundations that allow ambitious ideas to succeed.

My love of cinema began long before I ever stepped onto a set. I have fond memories of catching my Dad falling asleep through Toy Story at the cinema and my Mum happily keeping my Blockbuster membership alive which gave me the chance to discover stories that sparked my imagination and, ultimately, shaped the filmmaker I've become. From films like Back to the Future, Jurassic Park and Dumb and Dumber to the ambition of modern cinema like Inception, Man of Steel and F1, I've always been drawn to stories that transport audiences. That's something I strive to bring into every project, whatever the format or budget. I believe every story deserves to be told with care, imagination and purpose.

At the heart of it all, filmmaking is a collaborative craft. Whether I'm working alongside agencies, brands, production companies or fellow filmmakers, I believe the best work comes from talented people pulling in the same direction, challenging one another, and sharing the same ambition to create something memorable.

Because, in the end, the films we remember aren't just the ones we watched. They're the ones we felt.
